Over the years, we’ve undertaken numerous hikes and faced various weather conditions. This led to frequent adjustments to our gear list – many, many times. We believe we’ve now reached a point where we have a better understanding of what gear works for us and what doesn’t. Below, you can select three different climates: Arctic, temperate and Desert. For each condition, we’ll offer comprehensive information and provide a detailed lighterpack list. If you have any further questions, tips or recommendations, feel free to contact us.
Note: always do you own research and find out what suits your needs, what works for us may not work for you.
To access all the necessary gear information for a trek in Arctic conditions, click on the button above. This page provides information on selecting your tent, sleeping bag, and more! This information is based on our first trip and we’re still learning – the learning curve in winter is steep.
Having extensive experience with hiking trails in rainy and windy conditions, we understand the challenges. If you’re planning hikes like the Coast to Coast Trail, West Highland Way, Cape Wrath Trail, or a traverse of Iceland (check the adventures tab), be sure to check this page.
If you’re planning a hike through a desert, such as in Jordan or America, there are essential considerations when putting together your gear list. Click the button above and prepare yourself to get sweaty & sandy.
